Nick Grene

Nick Grene comes to N2Athletex with 17+ years of experience in the health and fitness industry, with 10 of those 17 years being spent as a certified personal trainer. He has worked with clients of all ages, ranging from 13 to 88. Nick specializes in general fitness, strength and conditioning and also in sport specific exercise. He graduated cum laude from Radford University with a BS in Exercise, Sport and Health Education and a minor in management. The majority of his coursework at Radford was in Fitness, Strength & Conditioning.

During the 2019 Spring Semester, Nick accepted an internship with the Virginia Tech Olympic Sports Strength & Conditioning Department. During his internship, Nick worked with many Virginia Tech sports teams in the weight room, including the baseball, softball, wrestling, volleyball, women’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, and the swim & dive teams, and with sprinters and hurdlers. During his internship, Nick learned team and individual training protocols for student-athletes in a sports performance setting and gained an understanding of scientifically proven training methodologies to enhance sports performance for D1 collegiate student-athletes.

Nick grew up in the New River Valley where he still lives.  Sports was a big part of his life all through his childhood. He enjoyed soccer and, baseball but his favorite sport was football. Nick is a strong believer in the power of positive thinking and positive reinforcement as tools for success. In his free time, Nick enjoys staying active, and spending time with his family. If the weather is nice, you can find him going on walks with his mother or helping her tend to her garden.
